Why Our Community?

Meet Our Founders

Tom and Ken started Entàra (Originally known as HQKerry and Workbase) because they believe everyone should be happy in their work lives. Deeply passionate about their home county of Kerry, they wanted to create a place where businesses can grow together, whilst also providing further opportunity for highly skilled professionals to live and work in a place they love. They recognise the positive impact that coworking hubs can have on the wider community and how they contribute to the rejuvenation of town centres.

Having both individually worked for many years with small businesses, they noticed that although there were good supports in place for start-ups, they identified a gap in the market to provide affordable and flexible office space in town centre locations.

In 2016, HQKerry was born. It continues to grow and create coworking spaces where its members can work collaboratively, productively, safely and most importantly, work happily.

Following on from the foundation of HQKerry, Ken and Tom also use their expertise and experience to facilitate others in the planning and development of other coworking hubs and centres across Ireland and beyond, including developing the Workbase Brand of hubs.

In 2024 Tom & Ken rebranded to Entàra (derived from the words enterprise & àras), to truly reflect that we are an Irish Owned and founded company, that is invested in developing enterprise spaces in regional towns as supporters of regional employment.
